Built on more than 20 years of experience the new, light-weight lithium ion battery of the new 1.5 litre petrol hybrid engine can store more power, whilst the self-charging hybrid system can recover more energy, so you’ll be able to enjoy spending up to 80% of the time in EV-mode on urban journeys, using pure electricity whilst producing zero tail-pipe emissions.

New Yaris offers a choice of three petrol powertrains: a 1.0 litre 3-cylinder and an allnew 1.5 litre 3-cylinder, available with and without hybrid. With high levels of torque, the 1.5 litre engine seamlessly delivers smooth, linear acceleration. Responsive and nimble in town it’s also perfect on the motorway.
